Track review: I want ya love

Pop

Artist: Juan Berea

Whats going on Vision and Vibes family?!  We’ve got some new heat from an up and coming artist. Juan Berea has dropped off his latest single titled “I Want Ya Love”. The Louisville, KY native’s latest bop is an island inspired pop mid-tempo jam. The track itself features some light keys and playful drums showcased throughout the track. Is the light-hearted track enough to capture the ears of the casual listener? That’s what we’re here to find out.

As mentioned prior, the production has a island vibe featured throughout the latest cut from Juan. Its nothing too complex and creates an easy listen if you’re into the genre. Whats great about this track and the production is that it has a great rhythm but doesn’t get in the way of the vocalist. Speaking of the vocals, there is a nice pop melody shown here. The vocals shine in the chorus and creates a cadence that’s easy to sing a long to. The one issue with it is that its too simple. There isn’t enough differentiation to really keep things interesting on the near three and a half minute cut. The verses support the messaging in the chorus as the singer croons how appreciative of the love his love interest shows him.

Treat you better than your ex, I do it better / Even though your family don’t want us together, however / We can make it through the weather / As long as the sun shining, we forever

Overall, this is a nice feel-good song with equally good production to back it up. In some cases the song sounds “safe” and there weren’t enough risks taken on this style of song. However, Juan did a great job on the track overall. Check out the single below and run up the numbers for this artist!
